About the Photographer
Andrew Mather is a media photographer who specializes in sports, concerts, and event coverage. Andrew also loves to do nature and scenic photography to allow people to “See the world, through his eyes.”
Andrew was handed his first camera, a Pentax K-1000, when he was in high school and immediately felt that he had found what he was meant to do with his life. He is always looking for something new and exciting to photograph.
Andrew took a couple photography courses in high school, and from there he took four semesters of photography courses at his local Junior College. After the two years at Community College, Andrew moved to Warrensburg Missouri to attend the University Of Central Missouri where he is currently studying to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Photography.
Andrew currently is employed by the University Relations office, Photo Services, at UCM where he photographs sporting events and other happenings around the campus. He also owns his own photo/graphic design companies: Andrew Mather Photography and StormEdge Designs. Andrew has contributed photos to the UCM Muleskinner and to DigitalBurg.com as well as done freelance work for his hometown newspaper, The Kearney Courier.
